An icon in Kokomo for over 30 years, The Original Treasure Mart was established in November, 1975.  Originally owned by the Kopeschka family, The Original Treasure Mart has been providing the Kokomo area with a place to find furniture, both antique and  modern, collectibles,  household items, and the unsual items that you don’t normally see.    Through the years, many thousands of happy customers have carried their new found treasures out our front door with a smile on their face.  Many of our regulars visit our store on weekly basis.  With our constantly changing inventory, they have learned that no two visits to The Original Treasure Mart will be the same.  There is always something new waiting to be discovered.  When their family members come to visit from out of town, many of our customers bring them to The Original Treasure Mart as a special treat.  The most common comment that we hear from people who are visiting our store for the first time is how overwhelming the store’s atmosphere and quantity of merchandise is to them.  Many express to us that they didn’t know a place like our store existed.  Without exception, all of them say that they will be back since they are sure that they could not have possibly seen everything there is to see in just one visit.  We try hard to make everyone’s shopping experience at our store a memorable one.  We are constantly trying to improve the building and parking lot.  We have paved the parking lot, redone our restrooms, and generally cleaned and organized our whole store.  We hope that if you are in the Kokomo area, you will stop in for a visit to our store.  We promise it will be a pleasant experience that you will not soon forget.

This fine Grandfather clock is an example of quality German craftsmanship.  The cabinet exterior is solid oak with shelves built into each side allowing the owner to display fine collectibles.  The shelves are lighted with a mirrored back. The clockworks are German made with an astrological moon phase dial.  The clock has three settings for the chimes: strike, night, and silent.  The chimes have three different settings: Westminster, St Michael, or Whittington. The clock chimes on the hour, half hour, and quarter hours. The brass weights have decorative etchings.  The brass pendulum is also embellished with decorative etchings. This one owner clock was originally purchased by a U.S. serviceman in Germany about 8 years ago at a cost of $5900.00.  Since it was built in Germany, it was wired to use the European power grid.  It has been professionally adapted to use the U.S. power grid.
